UK SMEs gear up for busy week at ITS European Congress

A delegation of British small and medium sized enterprises have joined the UK Pavilion at the ITS European Congress in Lisbon ready to contribute to the event themed “ITS: The Game Changer”.

Zenzic, Navtech Radar, Clearview Intelligence, Nicander, Now Wireless, ANGOKA, Ito World, Neology, Arup, Grid Smarter Cities, See.Sense and VESOS are showcasing a range of the country’s latest innovations in improving sustainability, transport network efficiency and safety.

The Pavilion gives the SMEs an opportunity to cost-effectively exhibit and promote what they do to more than 2,500 visitors from across the continent and beyond.

The TTF, which is funded by the Department for Transport and Innovate UK has worked with LCRIG (The Local Council Roads Innovation Group) to deliver the UK pavilion and acknowledges the assistance received from the Department of Business and Trade (DBT).

The three-day event also includes a visit from the British Ambassador to Portugal, and a drinks reception on the stand this afternoon (22 May) at 2.30pm plus the signing of a new engagement plan between the TTF and ERTICO – ITS Europe at 9.30 on Wednesday (24 May).

“After all the hard work to organise the Pavilion, it’s wonderful to see it full of the brightest and best in the UK,” commented LCRIG Operations Director Kerry Winstanley, who oversaw the project.  “There’s already a real buzz here, and the exhibition hall has only just opened!  We’re proud that the TTF, for whom LCRIG acts as Contract Provider, has been able to deliver this service for SMEs and give them the opportunity to grow their businesses at this event.”

Members of the Department for Transport, Innovate UK and ITS UK will also be participating on the stand.
