Plans for a major new road scheme in Oxfordshire connecting Didcot with Culham Science Centre are making progress.
Acccordi g to the Oxford Mail, Oxfordshire County Council has agreed a £38m contract for the Clifton Hampden Bypass, between Culham Science Centre and the B4015 just north of Clifton Hampden, part of the wider HIF1 road scheme, which already has planning permission and will link Didcot to villages in South Oxfordshire.
There will be a new single-carriageway road from the town with bridges crossing the River Thames and Appleford railway sidings.
The route across fields will connect the A4130 near Didcot to the A415 at Culham, including new roundabouts at Appleford Road and the A415.
The project aims to relieve congestion and improve access to major science hubs in the area and is due for completion by 2028.
