WSP has appointed Iain Carmichael as Managing Director for Intelligent Infrastructure in the UK & Ireland. Iain joins WSP from Ricardo, bringing extensive senior leadership experience that further strengthens our Intelligent Infrastructure capability as he steps into this new role.
With more than 30 years’ international experience, Iain has led large, multi‑disciplinary engineering, rail, energy and environmental businesses across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, North America, the UK and Europe.
His background spans systems engineering, operational safety, risk management, independent certification, and the delivery of some of the world’s most complex and safety‑critical programmes – experience that will be central to supporting clients as infrastructure becomes increasingly connected, data‑enabled and resilient.
