PAS 2161 approval refers to certification or accreditation that a road condition monitoring technology or survey method complies with the UK standard PAS 2161:2024, the new specification for collecting and reporting road condition data in England.
The standard was developed by the British Standards Institution with the Department for Transport and TRL, creating a technology-agnostic framework for measuring road conditions.
