The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has extended the deadline for bid submissions for companies to develop smart meter-enabled electric vehicle charging points for on-street and workplace charging until May 29th.

The initiative aims to promote innovation and demonstrate how smart meters can offer a long-term solution for smart EV charging. BEIS is procuring up to two independent projects to design, build, test and trial smart EV charging points which use the smart metering system for on-street and workplace charging.
