The Transport Secretary has promised that yesterday’s budget will deliver better transport, however you travel, wherever you live.
In a series of tweets, Louise Haigh has set out highlights she sees in the government’s tax and spend plans.
She highlights a £500 million boost to fix local roads and more than a billion pounds for buses.
She’s also hailing the continued freezing of fuel duty.
Elsewhere there’s a highlight of the A57 upgrade between Sheffield and Manchester, and support for walking and cycling.
