Dorset Council is seeking early market engagement from suppliers interested in its Highway Term Service Works Contract, spanning five years, between 1 April 2027 and 31 March 2032. 

Firms are invited to complete and return a pre-market engagement questionnaire by 12pm on 6 May 2025 – ahead of a procurement process which is scheduled to start in March next year, says Construction Wave.

The aim is to provide information to and receive feedback from contractors about aspects of the programme.  

“This preliminary market engagement notice is not a call for competition,” a Prior Information Notice reads. 

“The market engagement exercise is intended to allow interested suitable organisations with appropriate experience to outline their views and ideas about the future provision of these services. 

“It is being published to give notice to the market of an upcoming procurement, anticipated for release in March 2026.” 

No information provided in response to the questionnaire will be used by the council in assessing providers during the procurement process.
