The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in the UAE has signed a contract with South Korean artificial intelligence (AI) optimisation company Nota AI for a generative AI-based solution for intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
Nota AI’s ITS solution is a core product of Nota Vision Agent (NVA), a traffic management solution based on vision language models (VLM).
Leveraging real-time analytics capabilities, Nota AI’s platform identifies hazards in complex road environments, and its visual AI agents instantly alert emergency response teams, which can significantly accelerate on-site response times.
The automated generation of analytics reports also significantly improves administrative efficiency.
Nota AI will present the project results at Gitex 2025 in Dubai in October, the largest technology exhibition in the Middle East, to actively pursue further smart city initiatives across the region.
Nota’s solution runs directly on Nvidia data centres and edge GPUs and leverages the Nvidia AI Blueprint for Video Search and Summarisation (VSS) to process and summarise large volumes of video data from traffic cameras.
Following its successful Series C financing round last year, Nota AI has received cumulative investments of $42.6m. With revenue growth of 136 per cent in 2024 and expected growth of 67 per cent in 2025, the company has laid the financial foundation for its upcoming IPO.
“This agreement with Dubai RTA is an important milestone that clearly demonstrates Nota AI’s global technological competitiveness,” said Myungsu Chae, managing director of Nota AI. “We look forward to successfully completing our IPO and driving AI-driven innovation in smart cities and across various industries throughout the Middle East and beyond.”
