The Department for Transport and the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have published a Call for Evidence on Freight and the Planning System.  

This CfE is an action from the Planning Chapter of the Future of Freight and seeks to obtain appropriate evidence so that the planning needs of the freight and logistics sector can be properly and effectively considered. 

Described as a a rare opportunity to influence national planning policy, the DfT “strongly advise” interested parties to provide detailed and considered responses.

To support respondents DfT will be hosting two webinars on Thursday 13 July and Friday 14 July. You can sign up to these by emailing freightandplanningcfe@dft.gov.uk. 

The CfE closes on 6 October 2023.
