Fly tippers forced to pick up their own rubbish

A police motorway patrol has caught fly tippers who dumped rubbish in an emergency refuge area on the M6, and made them go back and pick it up.

The three men were spotted on CCTV chucking the rubbish away between junctions 12 and 13 in Staffordshire.

Officers tweeted that they intercepted the vehicle further north between junctions 14 and 15 and escorted them back to pick it all up. They included a photo of the men with the tweet.

The Environment Agency has been informed, but there is no word on whether the men will face any further action.
