Google optimising maps for right hand drive cars

Those of us who drive on the left now have the ability to use Google Maps in-car a little bit easier, after the company changed things to place the navigation bar on the right hand side of the screen.

It says users across the world using Android Auto in their vehicles will now see the user interface orient itself optimally, in layout and language, depending on whether you drive a left-hand drive vehicle or right-hand drive vehicle.

Currently this feature is implemented automatically with the option to choose the orientation of the display coming soon.
