It’s come to light that a National Highways Traffic Officer was assaulted while trying to help a stranded driver last autumn.

Warwickshire Police have issued a picture of a man they wish to speak to as part of officers’ enquiries into the assault on the M69 in September last year.

A Highways Officer reported being assaulted by a man after he attempted to assist him.

It happened on 7 September.

There are no more details of the assault of any injuries sustained.
