A major trunk road in Scotland has closed due to a bridge malfunction. Traffic Scotland posted on X to warn drivers that Tomnahurich Swing Bridge is currently closed in both directions.
The bridge carries the A82 trunk road over the Caledonian Canal just over a mile southwest of Inverness city centre. Traffic was reported as being slow in both directions with police in attendance, and drivers have been advised to use alternative routes and expect delays.
