The UK’s Intelligent Transport Society is offering a new membership category to allow anyone seeking a job within the industry to join at a bargain rate.
The Jobseeker’s Membership is designed to help any ITS professional who is struggling to find work following the economic issues caused by the Covid lockdown to benefit from the webinar, networking and information services offered by ITS (UK).
“While people are out of the industry, they can miss out on hearing about the latest issues and innovations and lose contact with industry connections,” explained ITS (UK) Secretary General Jennie Martin. “We want to help jobseekers find work quickly and the industry retain the talent it has built up, and therefore will offer up all the secretariat services to people in this unfortunate position. It’s just another way ITS (UK) can support our industry.”
“We are in challenging and changing times,” added ITS (UK) Chair, Ryan Hood. “And where there is change, there is opportunity! Anything we can do to help people stay in touch and find these new opportunities, we will do. Investment in our sector is strong hence we also encourage those with transferable skills from other industries to also join us.
“We’ve always believed that ITS (UK) can be a “match-making” platform for companies and organisations in our industry – making introductions is a key function of what we do. I am pleased we can extend this offer to individuals, and we ask members to suggest further ways we can help people looking for new employment – we’ll always do our very best to assist”.
To cover administrative costs, ITS (UK) is charging £100+VAT for Jobseeker’s Membership, which is priced the same as for Retired Members.
