TfL prioritises cyclists and pedestrians on London Bridge during the day

Transport for London has prioritised access on London Bridge during the day to cyclists, pedestrians, buses, taxis and motorcyclists after it reopened this week after essential maintenance work.

This means cars are not allowed on the bridge between 7am and 7pm Monday-Friday but are allowed any other time including having full access at the weekend.

“Between 07.00 and 19:00 vehicles restricted from using London Bridge will need to use alternative river crossing.,” said a TfL status update.

As part of improvements to the bridge, cycleways each side of the road will be installed and there will also be widened bus lane on the bridge.
