The Local Government Technical Advisers Group has announced it’s extended its partnership with the
Institute of Highways Engineers (IHE).

In June 2023 our then President, Amanda Richards signed the first Memorandum of Understanding with the IHE.

2024-25 President, Sean Rooney, has now agreed a further extension and renewed the IHE PDP partner certificate.

In the past year collaboration with the IHE has included joint promotion of professional development
opportunities and the start of a research grant initiative for the highways sector.

LGTAG says the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) also continues to provide a wide range of professional training. Forthcoming topics include many bus related sessions, safety courses and project management.

“At LGTAG we are pleased to work with and promote the efforts of our sister organisations that make such a good contribution to colleague’s professional development,” LGTAG says.
