Nota AI delivers new real-time data extraction tool using Artificial Intelligence

The South Korean on-device generative AI optimisation and solutions company Nota AI has released a new product to extract traffic data using AI software.

The Nota ITS Engine uses deep learning algorithms to power the Vision AI model directly on edge devices, ensuring real-time analysis and reducing reliance on cloud services, delivering vehicle counts, traffic flow patterns, queue lengths, and pedestrian movements.

The new solution uses advanced algorithms to extract traffic management and optimisation insights and uses V2X technology to communicate with vehicles and existing ITS hardware.  It can be used to help with prompt traffic management decision-making and optimise cooperative automated driving.

“The Nota ITS AI Engine uses real-time analysis of CCTV images to deliver traffic monitoring, incident detection, road safety assessment and parking management on urban intersections, highways and arterial roads,” explained Bryan Woo, ITS Product Lead of Nota AI which is based in Seoul, South Korea.  “It’s easy to install, configure and monitor thanks to intuitive interfaces of the management tool, all using existing camera installations which can reduce costs.”

Nota AI has previously delivered CCTV-based solutions to reduce collisions and near misses at junctions in South Korea, smarter parking and intersection control.

In the UK, it has demonstrated an Artificial Intelligence-based parking management system in Milton Keynes and is collaborating with decarbonisation-focussed consultancy City Science to allow the industry to more accurately understand the context of traffic flow.
