Octavius announces leadership changes to best support customers

Octavius Infrastructure has announced a new leadership structure to support our ambitious growth plans and further delight our customers through the safe and effective delivery of our projects.

With immediate effect, Gavin Pritchard becomes Managing Director of Octavius’ Highways business unit and Matt Smith Managing Director of the Rail business unit. Both roles continue to report directly to John Dowsett, CEO, and both retain their Exec and Octavius Infrastructure Limited Board responsibilities. Gavin was previously Commercial Director at Octavius; Matt was Operations Director.

As Managing Directors, Gavin and Matt will be responsible for all aspects of their respective business unit, including operations and commercial.

Commenting, John Dowsett, CEO Octavius Infrastructure, said: “It has always been our plan to make this structural change to enable the development of a deeper market understanding and closer relationships with our key customers, allowing us to use our agility to respond quickly to the changing landscape. I’m delighted that, in Gavin and Matt, we have two outstanding internal candidates who are stepping into these important roles to drive our business forwards in line with Octavius culture, values and principles.

“Whilst our Highways and Rail business units are wholly complimentary, they do have different needs, challenges, and expectations. Each business has its own ambitious targets; each has different levels of market maturity, customer demands and depth of relationships. The new structure will provide a single point of accountability for driving each business unit forward; for the development and delivery of the plans that will make that happen and, ultimately, for delighting our customers.”
