Octavius’ has won a place on Somerset Council’s Traffic Signals Installation Framework Agreement 2025, expanding further the company’s support for the west country authority.

The win was secured by Octavius Regional Civil Engineering, transport infrastructure Tier 1 contractor Octavius’ self-delivery business. As best performing bidder Octavius Regional Civil Engineering has been awarded a £2M traffic signals enhancement project in Street, which makes up part of the framework.

“This is our second current framework with Somerset Council. Octavius Regional Civil Engineering is also one year into Somerset’s New Assets Framework,” said Chris Ellis, Delivery Director, Octavius Regional Civil Engineering. “The New Assets Framework has been widely praised for its progressive contracting model and, like Somerset, we are always looking
at ways to enhance the delivery of highways infrastructure.”

The £60 million Traffic Signals Framework encompasses the creation of new assets and enhancement of existing infrastructure, and will run for five years. Octavius is one of three successful bidders. Apart from the Street project, which has already been awarded to Octavius as a result of being the best performing bidder, work will be let through mini
competition.
