One of the traffic technology sector’s most well-known brands, TWM Traffic, is set to close.
Highways News understands that its parent company Pilot Group has decided to close the doors of its traffic technology division TWM Traffic in a sudden move that was not expected.
Established in 2002 and based in the Northwest of England, TWM Traffic has been designing and manufacturing intelligent LED signage solutions for the highways, transport commercial, industrial, and public sector infrastructure environments for over 20 years.
Known for its innovation and close relationships with the highways and traffic technology sectors, TWM supplied a full range of solutions that informed, advised and influenced the way people travel, including speed signs, bespoke VMS signs and vehicle activated signs.
The Pilot Group specialises in providing sustainable and innovative solutions across commercial, industrial, and public sector infrastructure environments., helping ‘accelerate the adoption of sustainable transport’. This includes EV charging , energy management systems and LED lighting.
It is not understood why the company will close and Highways News has approached the Pilot Group for comment but hasn’t received a reply.
There is understood to have been redundancies as a result include Head Of Sales, Phil Thorpe, who Highways News understands is still looking for a role. He can be contacted via Highways News.
