Slater and Gordon has launched ‘Life Continues, Differently’, a new integrated campaign showcasing the experiences of people who have adapted to life following serious injury and raising awareness of the vital role early legal and rehabilitation support can play in improving long-term recovery and quality of life.
For more than 30 years, Slater and Gordon has supported people whose lives have been changed in an instant by serious injury. During that time, the law firm has helped more than 90,000 injured people and gained first-hand insight into the difference early intervention and access to rehabilitation, treatment and practical support can have in transforming someone’s recovery, independence and long-term quality of life.
The ‘Life Continues, Differently’ campaign is built around a simple but powerful message and the firm’s belief that while serious injury can change a person’s life forever, it does not have to define their future.
The campaign also aims to address a common misconception about serious injury claims, the potential value of early legal intervention. Beyond securing compensation, which is often the most visible aspect of a personal injury claim and viewed as the end goal, through its specialist Serious Injury team and in-house Rehabilitation Coordinators, Slater and Gordon works closely with rehabilitation providers, medical experts, charities and support organisations to arrange access to vital services for clients. They can frequently help arrange rehabilitation, specialist treatment, case management, care packages, equipment and home adaptations, long before a claim concludes and when they matter most. They successfully collaborate with insurers and obtain interim payments and rehabilitation funding with a common goal of securing the best outcome for seriously injured people.
Through a series of real client story videos, the campaign features people who have adapted to life after catastrophic injuries and have since gone on to achieve things they once feared might no longer be possible. Through their experiences, the campaign explores not only the challenges and difficulties that follow serious injury, but also on the resilience, determination and support that can help people move forward and shape what comes next.
Tracey Benson (pictured), Head of Serious Injury – South at Slater and Gordon, said:
“One of the biggest misconceptions about serious injury claims is that they’re only about compensation. In reality, some of the most important support happens in the days, weeks and months after an injury, when early intervention can help people access rehabilitation, specialist treatment and practical assistance that can significantly influence their recovery and future independence.
“I’ve seen families thrown into crisis overnight after brain injuries, spinal injuries and amputations. I’ve also seen the extraordinary resilience of people who go on to achieve things they once thought were impossible.
The stories at the heart of this campaign show what’s possible when people are given the right support at the right time. Serious injury may change a person’s life forever, but it should never define what they can go on to achieve.”
The campaign will be delivered through video content, public relations, social media, expert commentary and a dedicated online hub featuring real client experiences. It aims to help people and their families better understand the support that may be available following serious injury, including the potential benefits of seeking legal advice and accessing rehabilitation and other specialist support at an early stage.
Through real client experiences. ‘Life Continues, Differently’ aims to give hope to those adjusting to life after serious injury, while raising awareness of the practical, medical and legal support available to help people rebuild their lives.
