SWARCO Traffic Earns Place On National Operational Technology Commercial Framework

Following a competitive tendering process, SWARCO Traffic has been appointed to the National Highways Operational Technology Commercial Framework, which will run for a minimum of two years.

The OTCF will be the primary commercial vehicle to support the delivery of National Highways Road Investment Strategy 2 (RIS2) and comprises of five Lots, ranging from operational systems to consultancy and support services. Within the Lots awarded, SWARCO Traffic will have the opportunity to provide, among other things, Variable Message Signs, speed warning signs and parking guidance technology, as well as its urban mobility management software, MyCity.

John Pickworth, Managing Director of SWARCO Traffic, says earning a place on the framework highlights the strength of the SWARCO’s offering: “We are pleased to see that our proven record of reliability and high-quality mobility solutions has been recognised by National Highways. This new framework allows quick and easy access to our leading traffic management technologies without a lengthy procurement process.”

The OTCF allows National Highways to access a range of products and services from qualified suppliers to meet its strategic aims.

In terms of the specifics, SWARCO Traffic was appointed onto Lot 1 Detector Systems; Lot 2 Informing Systems; and Lot 4 Operational Systems.
