Melbourne is set to become the centre of the global transport technology sector next week, with more than 600 industry transport technology representatives gathering for the ITS Australia Global Summit 2026 from 22-24 September.

Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Summit will showcase the technologies and strategies transforming the movement of people and goods under the theme Connected Transport for Now and Tomorrow.

A strong international speaker line-up will headline the event, including industry representation from Norway, America, Taiwan and Spain while over 200 presentations across the three-day event will offer up an abundance of local industry talent. Key discussions will tackle some of the sector’s biggest challenges and opportunities, including road user charging, artificial intelligence, automated freight, integrated public transport, digital infrastructure, road safety and connected mobility.

More than just a conference, the Global Summit will feature a major exhibition showcasing the latest transport technologies and solutions including live product demonstrations and hands-on access to the innovations shaping the future of mobility from over 40 exhibitors.

With registrations continuing to build and an expanded international presence, the ITS Australia Global Summit 2026 is set to be one of the largest transport technology gatherings held in Australia this year.
