A group of British-based Intelligent Transport Systems companies will be taking advantage of a space on the Transport Technology Forum-led UK Pavilion at next month’s ITS European Congress in Istanbul.
The TTF has hosted a Pavilion at previous European Congresses in Lisbon and Seville, as well as the ITS World Congress in Dubai, and is planning a series of receptions and panel discussions for the event between 27 and 29 April. This is in partnership with the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG), supported by the Department for Transport and Transport for West Midlands, which is hosting next year’s ITS World Congress at Birmingham’s NEC.
That global meeting will be a key talking point on the Pavilion, as the four thousand European Congress visitors can take the opportunity to find out more about how they will benefit by being part of the World Congress in October 2027.
There will also be a drinks reception on the Pavilion, and an invitation-only meeting to help UK SMEs win business in Turkey, and there will be a panel discussion focussing on the DfT’s Connected Vehicle Services initiative and how it fits in with wider European policies.
Navtech Radar, Agilysis, Clearview Intelligence, AECOM, AGD Systems and MAV Systems are on the Pavilion, joined by ITS UK and the team from Birmingham 2027. There is still one space available for another SME to take part, priced at £3,250. As well as an individual pod space, participants will enjoy high-profile branding, inclusion in marketing material and on-stand videos, as well as exhibition passes and an invitation to the Turkey reception.
There will also be the opportunity to make connections and network with peers from across the world, find potential business partners and meet industry experts. Organisers will facilitate introductions with key stakeholders for the participants exhibiting on the UK Pavilion throughout the duration of the Congress.
“We know from our previous Congresses how valuable the UK Pavilion is in promoting UK ITS as a whole and our partners in particular, and with the world coming to Birmingham next year, we expect next month’s Congress to be even better,” commented LCRIG Managing Director Kerry Winstanley who is overseeing planning for the Istanbul Pavilion. “Last year in Seville our drinks reception was widely agreed to be the networking highlight of the Congress and we look forward to attracting visitors again this year with our series of interactive events on-stand.”
