Intelligent traffic safety systems manufacturer Westcotec has received the Institute of Master Tutors of Driving (IMTD) award for road safety contribution and partnership, recognising its innovative use of data-led technology to influence driver behaviour and help make roads and communities safer across the UK.

The award was accepted on behalf of Westcotec by managing director Chris Spinks and presented by IMTD president Graham Feest.

The IMTD citation praised Norfolk-based Westcotec for its commitment to developing intelligent road-safety solutions that deliver practical benefits for road users, local authorities and communities. Its technology uses timely, relevant information to encourage safer decisions behind the wheel, supporting a preventative approach to reducing risk on the road network.

From warning drivers of emerging hazards to helping authorities target interventions where they are most needed, the company’s solutions are designed to
