A major road maintenance programme has been completed ahead of schedule, covering around 125 miles of road. Worcestershire County Council’s 2026 Surface Dressing Programme treated roads across 155 locations in towns and villages as part of ongoing efforts to extend surface life and improve safety, reports Worcester News.
Councillor Tom Wells, cabinet member for highways and transport, said:
“Surface dressing is an important part of our proactive approach to maintaining Worcestershire’s roads. It helps protect road surfaces from water damage and everyday wear and tear, while improving skid resistance and helping to prevent deterioration.”
