WSPv has been awarded Wiltshire Council’s term highways consultancy contract following a competitive procurement process. The appointment will see WSP support the council in the planning, design and delivery of safe, sustainable and efficient highways and transport infrastructure across Wiltshire
Centred around a locally based team operating from Trowbridge, the partnership will bring day-to-day leadership, technical expertise and decision-making closer to the people and places the contract will serve, supported by WSP’s wider UK network of specialist expertise.
With a sector-leading strategy focused on sustainability and social value, WSP’s approach will support local employment, training and development opportunities, engagement with local businesses and wider benefits for Wiltshire communities.
The appointment will draw on WSP’s local authority highways experience across the South West and wider UK to help deliver practical, place-based outcomes for residents, and businesses.
The contract will commence on 1 December 2026 and has an initial duration of six years, with options to extend for up to a maximum of ten years, subject to performance and council approval.
Through the contract, WSP will provide professional consultancy support to help Wiltshire Council plan, manage and improve its highways, transport and wider place-based services, supporting safer, more resilient and better-connected communities across the county.
