The latest programme of road resurfacing and repair works will begin across Lincolnshire in August, with schemes planned in Skegness, Boston, Spalding, Grantham, Lincoln and Gainsborough

Between 5 August and 30 September Lincolnshire County Council will resurface a number of residential roads and carry out repairs to damaged concrete sections. The scheme reaches across the county and will help to improve driving conditions and reduce the need for more significant maintenance in the future.

Cllr David East, Executive Member for Highways at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “

People tell us time and again that the condition of local roads matters to them, which is why we’re continuing to invest in improvements like these across the county. While many of these type of roads are still structurally sound, resurfacing them now helps prevent further deterioration and means we can avoid more extensive repairs later on.

“I know roadworks can be frustrating, particularly when closures are needed, but these are improvements that will make a real difference to the people who use these roads every day. I’d like to thank residents for their patience while the work is carried out.”
