Alexa now has an in-car version

Amazon’s Alexa is a fixture in many homes, but is now available in car too.

The Echo Auto is now on sale on the company’s website, offering drivers a full list of voice commands from changing music to taking phone calls and checking their diary.

It connects via an audio jack or Bluetooth plugs into the 12V outlet and uses the driver’s smartphone to connect to the Internet.

“Echo Auto uses the Alexa app to access your favourite content,” the blurb on the website reads. “Just ask Alexa to play a song, genre, artist, or station from Amazon Music,, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, SiriusXM, and more. With TuneIn and iHeartRadio, listen to local radio stations or thousands more from around the world. With Audible, listen to the world’s largest library of audiobooks. Plus, stream podcasts, listen to the news, or keep the whole car entertained with games like Jeopardy!, 20 Questions, and more.
