Guernsey moves closer to speed camera introduction

The States of Guernsey is looking for contractors to review the island’s management of traffic offences.

The BBC reports the Government on the Channel Island hope introducing a points-based system and fixed cameras will improve road safety.

It says it also aims to reduce resources and time police and courts spent on speed offences and road collisions, it added.

The BBC adds that the Committee for Environment and Infrastructure is looking for guidance on how to identify and deal with noisy vehicles.
