ITS UK has welcomed today’s confirmation of ministerial responsibilities at the Department for Transport following last week’s reshuffle, highlighting the inclusion of ‘AI and Technology’ within ministerial portfolios.

“We are delighted to welcome Minister Justin Madders to the roads brief and are particularly pleased to see ‘AI and Technology’ explicitly recognised within his ministerial responsibilities. ITS UK has long called for greater recognition of the role technology plays in delivering a safer, cleaner and more effective transport network, so this is a positive signal. We look forward to working closely with the Minister to help deliver the Government’s ambitions for roads, innovation and safety.
