ITS UK picked up the award for Best Association Transformation at the prestigious Trade Association Awards on Thursday night (27 February).
Presented to the association that had “delivered a transformation programme to overhaul and renew the association’s mission, strategy, structure or finances”, the award is significant recognition of the modernisation programme undertaken by ITS UK over the past year, which has seen increases in members numbers and satisfaction scores, the delivery of new and larger events over the course of the year and ITS UK becoming the leading advocacy body for the transport technology sector. The judges also highlighted how the programme of improvements was a significant achievement for such a small team.
Max Sugarman, Chief Executive of ITS UK, said: “This award is fantastic recognition of the great work by the ITS UK team and Board in providing a modern, professional and innovative industry association for the ITS sector. The last few years has seen ITS UK look to improve our offer to members and to raise the profile of the sector through advocacy to Government. With new events, member services, campaigns and support, we’ve been able to deliver even more for the transport technology sector, ultimately supporting the growth of an industry that is vital to the UK and its economy. A big thank you to all the members who supported us over this period of change, and who continue to help us make the case for ITS in the UK!”
Emily Wallace, Chief Executive of the Trade Association Forum and one of the head judges on the panel said: “The judges were impressed by how the ITS UK team have transformed the association, through the implementation of a range of new initiatives which substantially improved its value to members.”
Now in its 22nd year, the Trade Association Awards 2025 are supported by the Department of Business and Trade, and recognise excellence, innovation and best practice amongst Trade Associations in the UK.
