Lanternn by Valerann™ earns top recognition at the ITS UK President’s Awards 2023

Valerann’s road traffic data analytics platform, Lanternn by Valerann™ (LbV), has been announced as the winner in the “Best Use of Data or Connectivity” category at the ITS UK Awards.

The recognition was presented at the Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony in London this week.

This annual award ceremony, hosted by ITS UK, the foremost association promoting Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) that represents the UK’s transport technology sector, recognizes the very best of the transport technology in the UK. Winners are determined by a panel of judges selected from the industry experts.

Valerann’s proprietary AI platform, Lanternn by Valerann™, ingests and processes data streams of any scale or structure from all available disparate sources to deliver best in class data-fusion. The platform’s advanced analytics and AI capabilities enable accurate detection and identification of road incidents, allowing the road operators to assign resources more accurately and efficiently.

The technology, successfully deployed across locations in the world, plays a pivotal role in enhancing road safety, optimizing road operations efficiency, reducing congestion, and contributing to a reduction in carbon footprint.

The judging panel concluded: “Valerann has demonstrated that their technology has delivered significant benefits to Traffic Control Centres. It has been shown to reduce accidents and improve traffic flow. Their use of open architectures and cloud native technologies, including machine learning has unequivocally demonstrated how data is a strategic asset for the transport industry.”

“This award stands as a testament to our commitment to driving forward innovations in traffic management” – says Gabriel Jacobson CEO of Valerann.  “We’re proud of the tangible impact Lanternn by Valerann™ is making globally and are committed to continue advancing the transport sector with our technologies.”
