Latest money raised for Mission Motorsport handed over

Leading Intelligent Transport Systems consultant Andy Graham has handed over a cheque for £4,777 raised to train wounded, sick and injured service folk to work in motorsport.

The money was raised by Mr Graham and friends doing an eight and a half mile sponsored scooter ride at the Le Mans 24 hour race in the summer. They had aimed to to do a lap of the actual Le Mans track, but because of restrictions imposed by officials, took on roads nearby instead, while dressed in 1923 Bentley Boy attire, which involved white overalls, googles, cravat and a flat cap.

This took place in temperatures around 40 degrees Celcius.

Mission Motorsport has now raised nearly £22,000 over eight years.

The cheque was handed over during the Goodwood Revival event.
