Manual for Smart Streets launch event on Monday 21 March

The Connected Places Catapult will officially launch the Manual for Smart Streets at an online event from 1.30pm on Monday 21 March.

The Manual is intended to provide guidance to support local authorities in implementing technology that supports traffic management and the operation of streets. This includes how traffic signals will develop to connect to vehicles into the future, how new sources of data can link into implementing other services in the local authority, information for how people could move around, providing a wider control and management of the network to the local authority.

The webinar will feature the event’s authors, led by Daniel Hobbs of the Connected Places Catapult along with representatives of the Department for Transport’s Traffic and Technology Directorate. They’ll detail the Manual for Smart Streets’ its content and inspiration, plus and give attendees a chance to ask questions.

The CPC says the event is particularly important for Local Authorities, their consultants and suppliers.

The event will run between 1.30 and 3pm.
