The Institute of Highway Engineers is reminding industry professionals that the IHE Traffic Signs Conference and Exhibition 2026, returns to Birmingham on 24 March and the full programme is officially live.
This year’s theme, “Signs of Progress”, brings together experts from the Department for Transport, local authorities, consultants and industry to explore the future of traffic signing, standards, technology and best practice.
The IHE says attendees can expect:
- expert insights from government and local authority speakers
- technical sessions on new standards and emerging technologies
- real‑world case studies and practical guidance
- panel discussions on digital signage, sustainability and innovation
- exhibition and networking with sector leaders.
And for local authorities employees – there are a few places remaining to attend for free on a first‑come, first‑served basis (1 per authority).
The IHE calls it: “a great opportunity for teams to stay ahead in policy, practice and innovation”.
