Siemens confirms autumn Yunex rebrand

Siemens ITS has confirmed that its rebrand to be called “Yunex Traffic, A Siemens Business” will be completed by 1 October.

In an email, Siemens ITS UK Managing Director Wilke Reints explains that this stand-alone Siemens-owned company is “a significant step that will allow us to respond faster and more flexibly to you, our customers, better shape and influence our ITS industry and markets and deliver a positive, safe and sustainable societal change”.

Reints says that while there will be a change of name, logo and identity, importantly it remains a Siemens Business and “your trusted partner with the same committed, knowledgeable and capable teams, and continuation of the stable, reliable and trusted supplier partnership you have come to expect from us.”

In line with our other Yunex Business Units around the world, Siemens ITS will begin to promote itself as “Yunex Traffic” from 1st July 2021. He explains the name by saying, “It is no coincidence that the new company brand, “Yunex Traffic”, starts with Y[o]u, our customers. Together with you, we develop ideas, ways and means to create connections between society and industry. The name is intended to evoke positive associations such as united and connected. And ‘nex’ refers to our commitment to the future; what comes next and the digital solutions to the traffic management challenges of tomorrow.”
