Mobile ITS provider, SRL Traffic Systems, has increased its variable message sign fleet size by more than 150 and hired Tony Logan as its new head of ITS.

The company’s partnered with SWARCO, initially doubling its fleet to 200 and has now added another 50 portable activated signs. They incorporate internal radar, GPRS communications, battery monitor and GPS location, controlled via Zephyr, the SWARCO-recognised and established control system.

Logan (pictured) joins from Redflex, where he was business development manager. His CEO Richard Tredwin says he’ll help SRL “remain at the forefront of the ITS sector”.
