TTF Autumn update presentations online

Presentations are now online from this year’s Transport Technology Forum Autumn Update, which took place Tuesday 14 November 2023, at the IET Austin Court in Birmingham.

The event heard from officials from the Department for Transport about the latest policy around Transport Technology and what it means for the sector, including the new £70 million signals funding, National Parking Platform, the Department’s data strategy and details of the work to develop Digital Traffic Regulation Orders.

There are also presentations from ERTICO – ITS Europe, STREETWISE, Innovate UK, Zenzic and ITS UK along with the sponsors AppyWay.

Find all the presentations here.

The event included an update what the TTF working groups have been working on.  The six Working Group chairs produced a video showcasing this which you can watch here:

Darren Capes’s presentation on signals funding, and the subsequent Q and A session, was the subject of a ’s Highways Voices podcast which you can listen to here.

“This was another essential event for the industry to hear the latest government policy objectives and to ask questions and give feedback,” commented TTF Manager Darren Capes, who is ITS Policy Lead at the Department for Transport.  “We packed in a huge amount of content into a relatively short time so I’m keen people take the time to re-read the presentations, and watch the recordings when they are available, so we can make the most of the undoubted momentum our industry is building up.  That way we can maximise the value of the superb technology being developed to make our transport networks greener, safer and more efficient.”

The entire event was videoed, and the footage of the individual sessions will be shared very soon.
