You repair it well? Sir Rod Stewart fixes potholes on his street

Singing legend Sir Rod Stewart has posted video of him and his friends filling in potholes on the road he lives on in Essex.

In a video on Instagram the 77 year old explains that the road has needed the work “for ages” but that “no-one can be bothered to do it”.

He goes on to say that, “People are bashing their cars up. The other day, there was an ambulance with a burst tyre. My Ferrari can’t go through here at all.” He then complains that millions have been spent on the nearby M11.

However the BBC reports this hasn’t gone down well with the local Highways Authority.

Essex County Council cabinet member Lee Scott warned anyone attempting to repair a road could become liable for accidents.

It quotes him as saying, “You can’t take matters into your own hands,” and that “People must always report potholes to the council and we will fix anything that’s dangerous.”
