IHE Traffic Signs 2022 Conference & Exhibition Makes a Return

The Institute of Highway Engineers has announced the return of its annual Traffic Signs Conference & Exhibition following a break due to Covid. The signing event, now in its 27th year and supported by the Department for Transport (DfT), is the foremost event for traffic signing professionals and will take place on 16th November at the Kia Oval in London.

‘Conveying the Message’ is the theme for this year’s event and the programme has now been published with John Bennett and Sally Gibbons from the DfT presenting on the summary responses to the TSRGD Policy Implementation Review and signing aspects for the revision of Manual for Streets. The event will cover ‘Moving Traffic Enforcement’ (MTE) from both the authority and TPT perspective and will include several case studies on signing schemes. The event will be accompanied by an exhibition area and every delegate will receive a printed copy of the new IHE Sign Structures Guide.

Simon Morgan, who chairs the IHE panel for the event commented, “This is an immensely valuable opportunity to bring together all those involved in the many aspects of traffic signs, particularly those considering civil enforcement of moving traffic measures. It is the main forum by which DfT communicates on this subject with others, and is a must to attend for all those involved in the design, specification, manufacture or enforcement of traffic signs, highway engineers, urban designers, town centre managers and those interested in reducing clutter and intrusion”.
