ITS (UK) helps SMEs get a World Congress Profile

The UK’s industry body for Intelligent Transport Systems has teamed up with Executive Members Innovate UK and Department for Transport, Member Transport for West Midlands, and Visit Britain to ensure some of the country’s brightest businesses get to show their solutions at the ITS World Congress in Hamburg next month (11-15 October).

Five ITS (UK) members have taken advantage of an extremely affordable rate on offer to take space on the UK stand in the exhibition.

Gaist, Grid Smarter Cities, Nicander, ITO World and Vivacity are joined on the stand by other British SMEs Immense, Valerann, Highway Resource, Aurrigo and ngenius who join through Innovate UK.  Around 6,000 people are expected in Hamburg at this much-anticipated face-to-face global event.

“We are proud to be part of the UK Pavilion at the ITS World Congress in Hamburg and support the sterling work that ITS (UK) is doing,” commented Grid Smarter Cities CEO and Founder Neil Herron.  “We believe that UK companies are leading the world in ITS innovation and helping build the UK Plc export strategy of tomorrow.  Innovate UK have also been extremely supportive helping us take our Kerb commercial vehicle kerbside management platform from a vision to concept and now commercial reality.”

“Gaist are thrilled to be featured amongst the best of British at the ITS World Congress, showcasing our Roads as a Service (RaaS) provision enabling Intelligent Transport Systems the world over,” said Jake Lawson, Gaist’s Global Marketing Manager. “As proud members of ITS (UK), we are pleased to lend our support to the independent voice of the ITS sector alongside Central Government, leading innovation bodies and expertise, and private industry at the cutting edge of Intelligent transport solutions.”

Jennie Walton of Nicander added, “ITS World Congresses have always given Nicander the opportunity to showcase our incident and transport network management capabilities to an international audience and we are looking forward to the opportunity for face-to-face interactions next month in Hamburg.   Our place on the UK Pavilion provides unique opportunities for networking, meeting new clients and undertaking market research as we look to further expand our existing exports in the Intelligent Transport Systems market with help from ITS (UK).”

“I’m proud to have helped bring so many cutting-edge members together for this long-awaited event,” concluded ITS (UK) Secretary General Jennie Martin.  “ITS (UK) is excited to lead the British contingent in Hamburg and we look forward to a great week of networking, knowledge sharing and business opportunity building – it will be so good to all be back together.”
