JCT issues call for papers as it plans for physical autumn Symposium

Organisers of the popular JCT Traffic Signals Symposium have issued their call for industry professionals and academics to propose papers on Traffic Signals and Signals related topics, as they push ahead with plans to hold an in-person event this year.

After last year’s event was held online, JCT say this year’s Symposium will be held at Nottingham Trent University Conference Centre on 15 and 16 September.

To be considered, a written paper must be submitted, and although this need not be long, it should be targeted at a technical audience and the paper will need to be presented to the Symposium Audience in around 15 minutes. Speakers qualify for free attendance on the day of speaking.

To submit a proposal simply email [email protected] with a working title and a brief synopsis (one or two paragraphs). The proposal will be put before the Papers Committee for immediate consideration. Details are available at www.jctconsultancy.co.uk.

The JCT Symposium & Exhibition started in Nottingham in 1996 as a way to bring traffic signal practitioners together with manufacturers and to maintain a sense of community amongst signals engineers. It is intended to run as an affordable conference that is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of experience, and that encourages the exchange of knowledge, experience and good practice. Over the past few years, the symposium has consolidated its position as the UK’s best conference event for traffic signals.
