Road planing company Jet Plant Hire has achieved an exceptional customer satisfaction result after recording a Net Promoter Score (NPS) well above industry benchmarks.

NPS is a globally recognised measure of customer loyalty and satisfaction. It involves directly surveying a proportion of customers and asking them to score their experiences on a scale of one to ten. An impressive 96% of Jet customers surveyed rated the company as exceptional, with the remaining 4% classed as passive respondents and no detractors were recorded.

Jet achieved a near 20% response from the 150-customer sample who were asked to take part in the survey. A typical Net Promoter Score (NPS) benchmark for the construction and building materials industry generally ranges from 20 to 50. Jet scored 96. 

The result represents an eight-point improvement on the company’s already strong NPS performance (88) recorded in 2025.

With more than 30 years of experience, Jet plays a vital role in maintaining the UK’s road network through a nationwide fleet of road planers and specialist equipment used to repair and resurface roads across England and Wales.

The NPS achievement follows two recent industry recognitions that underline Jet’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.  

The company has been named by Avetta as a 2025 ESG Innovator, recognising its commitment to environmental, social and governance practices. Sustainability has long been at the heart of the company’s operations and growth strategy.
