Road safety professionals will gather in Birmingham next March to examine how data and evidence can help measure progress against the government’s Road Safety Strategy targets.

The 12th annual Road Safety GB National Analysts Conference, Joining the Dots, takes place at the IETin Birmingham on Tuesday 2 March 2027, bringing together experts from across the sector to explore emerging data, new Safety Performance Indicators and how effectively road safety interventions are working.

CIHT president Kate Carpenter, director of operational road safety at Jacobs, will open the event.

Key themes will include combining police, ambulance and hospital data to build a fuller picture of collisions, the potential of connected vehicle data to improve road safety intelligence, and understanding casualty risks among vulnerable road users and different communities.

The programme will also examine how highway authorities can evaluate interventions across junctions, motorways and local roads, alongside a practical workshop exploring the post-collision response.

Dan Campsall, chairman of Agilysis, said the conference would give analysts an opportunity to share evidence, examine what is working and identify gaps in understanding as the sector works towards national road safety targets.

Standard tickets cost is £180, with early bird tickets priced at £99 until 30 November 2026 for Road Safety GB members and users of MAST, the Speed Compliance Tool and CrashMap Pro.
