Lorry driver caught playing solitaire as he used Dartford crossing

A lorry driver’s been fined after being spotted playing solitaire while he drove at the Dartford Crossing.

Kent Police’s roads unit tweeted that patrol bikes had spotted the situation and pulled the driver over. It included an image of the offence (pictured).

The image also appears to show a mobile phone besides the laptop mouse. Details of the driver have not been released, and it appears he was permitted to continue his journey.

The full tweet read, “HGV stopped at the #DartfordRiverCrossing by one of our marked bikes after the driver was seen playing a game of Solitaire on his lap top. Driver reported for offences and on the spot fines issued. GS”
