A new tunnel has opened in the Faroe Islands which includes the world’s first undersea roundabout.

The seven mile Torshavn-Eysturoy Tunnel links the capital with a major fishing port cutting the driving time from more than an hour down to less than 15 minutes.

The roundabout contains artwork by Faroese artist Trondur Patursson, featuring sculptures and light effects.
