Nottingham City Council has awarded a single-lot framework for planned footpath and cycleway maintenance to three local contractors.
Danaher & Walsh Group, Trust Utility Management, and ST Construction (Nottingham) were appointed to deliver improvement works across the authority’s road network over the next four years, worth a total of £20 million.
The contract was awarded on 4 June, according to Construction News.
The council said the framework will be used to maintain adopted highways within city boundaries. Works will include resurfacing, repair and construction of pavements and cycling infrastructure, with contractors acting as principal contractor on call-off projects.
Nottingham City Council will lead delivery of the scheme and may require contractors to work with council teams, other firms or consultants on individual projects.
The open procedure attracted seven tenders, all from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Each of the three successful firms is classed as an SME. The council used a 60:40 price-to-quality ratio to assess bids. Contract values across the lot varied widely, from £1 up to the framework maximum of £20m.
