Fire crews in Essex have cut a driver out of a vehicle after it collided with a stationary Highways roadwork protection vehicle on the M11 near Stansted Airport.
Writing on Facebook, crews report they got to work stabilising the vehicles while administering first aid to the trapped driver before using hydraulic cutting equipment to “extricate the trapped driver from the car”.
This involved multiple agency’s coming together, HEMS flying doctors, Paramedics, Police and [National] Highways Traffic Officers also attended this serious collision.
The M11 was closed whilst rescue operation was in progress and the casualty was transferred to a nearby A&E Hospital.
