Dutch company explains Talking Traffic, and how data can change congestion levels in UK

A webinar on Thursday morning will explain how Talking Traffic was introduced into the Netherlands, and its potential to improve traffic management in the UK.

Talking Traffic, delivered by Monotch, is an initiative using the exchange of real-time data between road users and intelligent traffic infrastructure to improve traffic flow and road safety. Monotch are working with consultancy Chiltech in the UK to offer the technology solution to authorities.

The webinar will hear from Monotch CEO Menno Malta and Vincent Habers from the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management as they share implementation insights and success metrics.  There will also be a case study from René Spaan of Helmond City on real use-case scenarios using roadside equipment, such as traffic signals in their community while with the Department for Transport’s ITS Policy Lead Darren Capes will suggest what such technology could mean for the UK,
